We are excited to announce that our April reading will feature two wonder boys of Australian poetry: Derek Motion and Nathan Curnow.
Derek Motion is a poet from Narrandera, NSW, where he also works across the Western Riverina region as a Regional Arts Development Officer. He was winner of the Judith Wright Overland Poetry Prize in 2009, and the fourW Poetry Prize in 2015. His first poetry collection 'lollyology' was published in 2012 and a second is now on its way. Nathan Curnow lives in Ballarat and is a past editor of Going Down Swinging. His work is published widely, both locally and overseas, and features in Best Australian Poems 2008, 2010 and 2013 (Black Inc). His books include The Ghost Poetry Project, The Right Wrong Notes and most recently, The Apocalypse Awards. He is a winner of the Josephine Ulrick Poetry Prize, a father of four daughters and a regular swimmer of the pool’s black line.
